Corporate
Overview |
|
|
Tylite,
Inc. is an engineering company located in the Pacific Northwest
and was founded in February 2000. The company was initially formed
in response to the emerging need for technical expertise in the
design and development of high-speed data networks, Community Area
Networks (CANs) and Metropolitan Area Networks (MANs). Its management
team was also involved in numerous network design and installation
projects at other companies before forming Tylite.
|
|
|
|
Tylite
is a privately held company, incorporated in the state of Washington
as a C-Corp. Facilities include a Network Operations Center (NOC)
and video headend laboratory located in a model home of one of Eastern
Washington's premier residential communities, offices in Liberty
Lake WA, a community Point of Presence lab at the Spokane Teacher's
Credit Union building in Liberty Lake, and new corporate office
space coming soon.
|
|
|
|
The
company has a sister company: Priority Terabit, Inc. (or Ptera).
Ptera is structured to offer unregulated digital services such as
high-speed wireless Internet access. It acts as the testing ground
for wireless solutions to be implemented into Tylite's networks.
|
|
|
|
The
rationale underlying the existence of Tylite is simple and straightforward.
The company believes that in the near future, all audio, video and
data services will be delivered over high-speed Ethernet. These
services will illuminate cities across the world with better access
to information, better ability to gain knowledge, and the potential
for improved business.

|
Overview
|
|
Tylite
builds 100 Mbps to 10 Gbps+ speed Ethernet Network (GEN) hubs and
offers telephone, video and high-speed Internet services utilizing
wireless and fiber-to-the-home technologies. In broad strokes, the
company has three major areas of emphasis: large-scale Gigabit Ethernet
Over Fiber projects; connectivity products; and bundled digital
services.
|
|
Ethernet
Over Fiber Projects: |
|
Tylite
principals have extensive experience and know-how in planning
and managing significant Gigabit Ethernet Over Fiber projects.
These projects are typically complex, multi-million dollar endeavors
for governmental bodies, educational organizations or real estate
developers. The scope normally includes multi-faceted design
work for Ethernet NOCs and video headends, specifications and
sourcing of related hardware and the customized implementation
of high-end services with significant quality of service issues
such as voice-over-IP and video-over-IP. For these projects,
the company offers consulting services, project management services,
systems integration and engineering and design work. |
Connectivity
Products: |
|
Tylite
also serves as a comprehensive supplier of infrastructure and
network components such as fiber optic cable and Ethernet switches,
sourced from a variety of manufacturers. The company assures
that all equipment and products in an installed network meet
stringent performance specifications and cost parameters. Tylite
also offers highly innovative bundles of Ethernet-enabled information
appliances for use in the home. These bundles are targeted to
specific categories of users such as telecommuters and senior
citizens. These bundles are especially attractive for new homeowners
in fibered communities. In addition, Tylite has under development
a proprietary automation product with likely uses in both residential
and commercial environments. Last, Tylite has an end-to-end
modular solution for the provisioning of video-over-IP services
called the "Next Generation Video Delivery System". |
Bundled
Digital Services: |
|
Tylite
is creating the model for offering the digital services of the
near future. These gigabit-speed services include data transfer,
Internet access, voice-over-IP and video-over-IP, among others.
The company has a particular enthusiasm for video-over-IP services,
which we believe will be the main driver of demand for broadband
services. These video services include broadcast video, high-definition
video, time-shifted video, high-end personal videoconferencing
and security video. Capabilities in our owned or managed video
headends will also allow us to offer advertising insertion on
a targeted scale not previously seen. All digital services are
available on a standalone or bundled basis. |
|
|
|
|
From
entertainment to communication to convenience, the broadband future
will change our lives in ways that will ignite the business world,
education system and communications systems. And Tylite will be
there… illuminating the world by offering the design, deployment
and management of tomorrow's networks.
